So... How've you been?

Long time no type, right? Sorry about my absurd absence. This last semester was a whirl wind: I was accepted as a candidate on our Intellectual Property Law Journal (which translates into hundreds of hours of research and writing in the course of the semester), I was on another trial team (and won 2nd place, thank you), I started working at a small IP Law Boutique, and with all that, plus attempting to Dean's List it again this semester... well... blogging was #last on my list of to-dos. Not that I don't enjoy this. I do... but the guilt. The incredible, self-imposed guilt. It is a fun sponge.

The semester ended almost three weeks ago. The day after my last final, boyfriend and I jetted off to Greece for two weeks. Yeah, two weeks. If you are going to Crete or Santorini, let me know and I will fill you in on some good places to go. Here is my top 5 for Greece:

Staka: You can only get Staka in Western Crete. We only found it in Chania. It is something with yogurt fat, cheese, and lots of olive oil. It's heaven. Go to Tamam in Chania's old town to eat it.

Bougatsia: Breakfast of champion. Kind of like sweet cheese pie. But with sugar and cinnamon on top. Can't get more healthy than that! We ate this at least every other day while on Crete. Again, it's one of those regional things. If you are in Chania, go to Bougatsia Jordani (yee-or-DAHN-ee) in the City of Chania.

Chloro Cheese and Abergines with Dill Yogurt: We ate this twice while in Fira, Santorini at Archipelagos Restaurant on the Caldera. Can't explain. You must go to Greece immediately.

Beaches: Red sand, black sand, white sand. Don't care. I was outside for two weeks.

Ruins: The only cool part of Athens. Sorry Athinians, but that is one dirty city. Although the Gazi district was nice. We ate at Sardenes (sp?) in the Gazi district the last night in town. Delish.

If you can't tell, the food was my favorite part. I gained some serious kilos over there. I enjoyed every second of it.

Moving on... to knitting. You'll kill me. But I haven't been so active in the knitting this spring. I finished my second Mini. I still need to get a picture of Jayden wearing it. The only really FO photo I have is of my "spring thing." Here she is:

Pattern: Design A Cabled Short-Sleeved Sweater
Source: Sirdar Eco Wool Dk Book II - 341
Fiber: Cascade Eco Alpaca - 4.5 Skeins
Size: Extra Small
Mods: Pff. As if I know how to "mod" things

Well, this is an awesome pattern. Very easy to execute. My one complaint: BOXY. I have a very boy-ish body. No hips and chest to match. This is not the most flattering thing for me to wear. The cable pattern seems to widen me even more. In any case, the fiber is atrociously lovely. It drapes beautifully and is so so soft. Do this project. Just lengthen it for yourself if you are short waisted like me. By like a foot. (: Actually... it would make a cute dress.......hmmmmm...

And, as I reported... I finished that Colleen or Kitty Sweater... whatever it was called. Here are some photos of it being worn IN REAL LIFE! (This is shocking because usually, after having boyfriend take my picture in my FO, I never wear it again. No shit.)

These kind of look like DROPS Design ads, don't they? (: This is my lovely sister Sasha and Ms. Misha. She's getting so big!

Again, the collar is so freaking floppy. I'm not sure what I did wrong there. My sister took it gladly, however, so I guess she doesn't care! Also, the arms. They are more like wings. She is scrawny, but the arms would be too big for professional body builder ladies. Not sure what went wrong there, either. Again, she doesn't care, so I will say I don't either!

It is my goal to finish all of my WIPs. First up is my dad's sweater from the holidays. Yeah. Only 6-7 months late. I'm sure he hasn't noticed... pff. My mom's sweater is literally 5 inches from done. all I have to do is finish the trim. I'm ridiculous. Speaking of ridiculous, it's time to dive into Entertainment Law homework. Or, so people without a superiority complex call it "contracts." Smooches!!
